Glorious Mysteries

At the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.

The Angel of the Lord descended from Heaven, came to the tomb and rolled away the stone.

“Do not be afraid.

I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

He is not here, for He has risen, as He said.”

Jesus is not dead.

He has risen.

He is the Living One!

This is an event that truly changes our lives.

Nothing remains as it was before.

Jesus no longer belongs to the past.

He lives in the present.

Let the Risen Jesus enter your life.

Welcome Him as a friend, with trust.

Do not be afraid.

He is close to you, and He will give you the peace you seek and the strength to live.

Jesus led the disciples out as far as Bethany.

Raising His hands, He blessed them.

While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into Heaven.

In Christ, true God and true man, our humanity has been brought into the presence of God.

He has opened the way for us.

If we entrust our lives to Him, if we allow ourselves to be guided by Him, we can be certain that we are in safe hands.

The Ascension does not mean that Jesus is absent.

He is alive among us in a new way.

In our lives, we are never alone.

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all gathered together in one place. Suddenly, a sound came from Heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled the whole house.

Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which separated and came to rest upon each of them.

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit urges us to open the doors and to go out, to proclaim and bear witness to the good life of the Gospel.

The Holy Spirit is the soul of the mission.

He is the Comforter who gives us the courage to bring the Gospel along the roads of the world.

He raises our eyes towards the horizon and urges us towards the peripheries of existence, so that we may proclaim the life of Jesus Christ.

A great sign appeared in Heaven:

“A Woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.”

Mary does not leave the disciples of Jesus alone.

The Mother of Christ and of the Church is always with us.

Mary accompanies us, struggles alongside us and sustains Christians in the battle against the forces of evil.

Even when the path is difficult, our Mother is with us.

We are not alone in the struggle.

Mary walks with us.

Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He chose us in Christ before the creation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him in love.

Mary is always before the face of God.

But she is not distant or separated from us.

God turns His loving gaze towards every man and every woman, calling each one by name.

As we contemplate Mary, we also recognise our own destiny and our vocation.

Let us allow ourselves to be looked upon by her, our Mother.

And let us learn to be more humble and also more courageous in following the Word of God.
